Are You Ready For Some Football?

I sure am!

I'm not the biggest football fan in the world, to be honest. I love going to games - high school, college, pro - and do love following my team (49ers...woot!) on TV...but for me, game day delights equal the treats I get to enjoy while the TV is on!

Most of ya'll know that Anne M. Carpenter is my penname - in real life, my name is Tiffany Aller. Many of you also know that I'm a freelance writer for my "day" job...but did you know that in the past year, I've also published 4 cookbooks with my writing partner?

In the romance world, she's Patti Ann Colt. But when her romance hat comes off, her chef's hat goes on...and as Patti Fredericksen Colt, she and I sell cookbooks together! (We're also family, but that's a story for another post.)

Our food blog dates back to 2007 and started as a family project. Over time, Worth a Damn Food has grown to attract 1,000s of visitors. Two of our cookbooks, 25 Cookie Favorites and Favorite Recipes Summer, were also the first two (of 24, now!) books to go up for our indie publishing company, KLG Press. And, over the past year since we started indie publishing, we've slowly but surely sold hundreds of cookbooks, and given thousands away free. In fact, 50 Favorite Main Dishes hit the Kindle Top 100 Free during it's first promo!

Which brings me to today.

Are you ready for some football?

NCAA football season starts tonight - and the NFL season is just around the corner. To celebrate, we've made our cookbook, FAVORITE RECIPES GAME DAY, free on Kindle for 8/30.

Worth a Damn Food presents our favorite party recipes, ready for the Big Game or any game. You gather your family and friends and we'll supply recipes for mouth-watering food to wow your crowd. From yummy nachos to spicy buffalo wings to decadent chocolate mudd, we have you covered from kick off to buzzer with more than 30 recipes. Up your game with these "keeper" recipes so your guests enjoy their fill of sports, food and fun.

Go - download - cook - enjoy - watch - root - grab more food!

Hope you enjoy!

  1. I missed this, but your cookbook looks fabulous, Anne! I'm wondering if you have any 'specialty' cookbooks for diabetes or other health issues? So pleased to meet you, and I'm enjoying exploring your site! ~ Julie :)
